I went to the zoo with my gf, and saw a lot of cool animals-monkeys by far my favorite animal. I inked a picture of these two monkeys because it was an emotional moment watching them. Their cage was surprisingly small. I have to say, the whole concept of a zoo was really eating away at me. I hate the idea of putting animals in cages. Especially when it's obvious that the animals are in them unwillingly. We paused our walk in front of these two because they looked so sad. It was artistic how sad these two looked. For about two minutes they sat huddled- paying no attention to the people walking by. Then the male rolled on his back, and slowly made his way to the vine. He turned his back to us, the woman followed. She sat down on the vine next to him, her tail grabbed onto his. They then synchronized their bathroom duties with eerie precision. Then they walked back over to their stoop in the corner and returned to looking sad. It looked like they were reflecting on the memories of their youth and freedom in the forest.
